This is what its all about

No matter what type of rod you use, be it Bamboo, fiberglass or graphite, getting on the water is what its all about.  With family, friends, or if you are looking for solitude it just feels better if you have a rod built to your specifications.  Size your custom rod to the waters you fish and there is no end to the enjoyment you can get.  Nothing says you have to target the monsters all the time.  Target the experience and the rest will follow.
