Pricing Philosophy:
Graphite & Fiberglass: The price of components+labor+shipping+tax= the cost of your rod.
Bamboo and Epic Fiberglass builds: The price includes the complete rod, rod tube, rod sock, shipping. It is also insured and tracking (in the USA) + tax
Bamboo rods:
A deposit of 1/3 the rod cost is required prior to the rod being started. The deposit is refundable until the cane has been split and components ordered, after that the deposit is non-refundable. Each rod takes approximately 60-80 hours to complete. Rods are traditional hex (6 side) blanks. They made completely by hand, in house, from Tonkin cane. All rods includes Nickel Silver reel seats with exotic wood inserts, Agate stripping guide to match the color scheme of the rod, Nickel silver ferrules and a custom turned cork handle. Flaming options include Blonde (not flamed ), striped/ mottled, and medium dark Tortoise shell.

Each Bamboo rod comes with a custom black / gold rod tube and a Renaissance Rods rod sock.
Epic Fiberglass
$600.00 to your door without any hidden cost**. Any weight, length or color. Build includes Lemke hardware, custom insert, Agate stripper, custom handle, silk wraps and Snake Brand Universal guides. In other words only the best for the best. Renaissance Rods custom tube and sock included. ** Sorry overseas shipping is the difference between shipping cross country and the actual cost to ship overseas. In other words, if it cost me $20.00 to ship to New York and $50.00 to ship to New Zealand you pay the difference of $30.00 for shipping.

After the design has been settled upon, you pay for the components prior to the start of construction. The balance, for labor*, shipping, and tax is due prior to delivery of the rod. An optional custom made Renaissance Rods rod tube and sock are optional.
* labor is dependent on extra options requested by the customer.

Protect your investment with a custom rod tube. We offer either black with the "Renaissance Rods" logo in gold or the natural aluminum color with the logo in black.

Oak Presentation Cases
Renaissance Rods is happy to announce a new addition to our inventory. Custom made presentation cases. These are not store bought cases. Made with 3/16" finger joints, these cases are built to last as long as your rod exist. In other words forever. They are made in house and are one off, built to fit your specific rod. They are made from top quality oak and come with brass hardware, a plaque engraved with your name and year. The inside of the lid sports a "Renaissance Rods" logo. What better way to store your heirloom or present it to the lucky receiver?....... $175.00
Engraving
Why not let everybody know who's custom rod it is. Get your name or initials engraved on your custom rod. Engraving is available on certain reel seats. For example our custom made nickle silver wedding band seat. Check with us to see if your chosen seat can be engraved......$20.00 Custom engraving beyond initials is subject to jewelry quotes.
Delivery Time:
Please allow ample time for your rod to be built. Since each rod is built per the customer's desires and is a one off rod, a mass selection of components are not kept on hand. Your rod will be built in the order it was received. If you need the rod next week, that probably isn't going to happen. We understand that you want your new rod quickly and will make every effort to get it to you ASAP. But.... getting your custom rod to you will be done without compromising quality. Depending on the work load, a custom Bamboo rod can take several months to properly complete. We will be happy to inform you on the status of your build as often as you request.
Unfortunately, since Renaissance Rods is a very small shop we can not accept credit cards, at this time. Money orders or cashier's checks are the fastest way to get your custom build started. PayPal will be on its way shortly.
