Renaissance Rods graphite builds have the classic one of a kind look of a fiberglass or Bamboo rod. With the choice of available blanks, on the market, finding the rod that is a reflection of you should not be a problem.
Colorado Build: A wonderful lady from Colorado Springs saw the Steffen Brothers build and liked the design. She requested that I build a graphite rod along the same design. We opted for a Sevier Tiger Eye, 8', 4 piece, 4 /5 weight rod. Turned a smaller cork and burl cork handle to fit her hands.
Both rods are built on Sevier blanks. Built the first rod, a 9', 3-4 weight, 4 piece. The customer enjoyed the look and requested a big brother in a 7-8 weight. Both have custom handles, Amboyna Burl up locking seats and Amber Agate strippers. The 7-8 weight has a 2" removable fighting butt.
Built these two with all the same components. Only difference is in the wraps. One is garnet and white. The other is blue and metallic copper. Both are 9', 4 piece, 4 weights.

Just an example to show that not every rods need to be "By the book".
