St. Croix 11', 5 wt. Switch

Being a Bamboo junkie, I usually don't get too spun up about a Graphite.  That being said,  just completed a built that may be my favorite Graphite rod, I have ever built.  This is a personal build as in I think I will keep it for Me, Myself, and I.   I have always wanted a switch rod, so when a great sale came up on the blank, I nabbed it.

My goal on this rod was to get everything to flow together without one specific component overloading the others.

Here are the build specifics:
Blank:   St. Croix 11' 5 weight switch rod
Seat:   Struble dark Nickel Silver U-24.
Seat insert and winding check:   Stablized Black Ash Burl.
Wraps:   Garnet with no CP
Trim wraps: Metallic Pewter.
Handle:   Natural, Copano, Laguna, with Burnt Burl cork for the accents.
Extras:   Inset the butt cap into the end of the handle, turned a winding check out of the Black Ash Burl, three turn alternating wraps, with single turn trim wraps and as is standard for all my graphite rods... alignment dots.

Hope you like the rod as much as I do.  Thanks for looking at the new addition to my personal rod collection.  Now all I need to do is learn the who, what, when, where and how of switch rods.

Until next time my friends,
Pete
