It was a great November of trying to hook into some of our jumbo Barred Surf Perch as well as one Shovel Nose Shark (or whatever its called in your neck of the woods). It was a month of fishing new rods we built, learning new techniques, BIG surf and high winds. All of what is to be expected on the central coast during the winter. Hey, if full contact surf fishing wasn't a challenge we wouldn't do it.
There are currently 6 of us who fish together on a regular basis, Tim, Bryan Scott, Gary, Lacey and myself. We met several great folks from the area who fly fish the surf. Even met another fly flinger on the sand....Americanandie from Provo Utah. Next time she hits the central coast we'll get her on the water. Hank, from Alaska, will be hitting the surf with us for a good part of December and Jason from the south county should be hitting us up on a regular basis from now on. It's one big surf fly family and growing all the time. If you are ever on the central coast give me a shout and we'll hit the surf ;-)
Anyway, enjoy the slideshow of our month of November:
