Spey Mania

Since I am on a posting roll , might as well make time for the Spey & Switch crowd.  Single handed fly rods aren't my only passion.  There's something about being able to create the perfect handles for the big dogs of the fly fishing world.  You can get quite creative without over doing it on a Spey rod.  All that extra length in the handles just screams different cork, or better yet a wood insert to match the reel seat.
As you can see, there isn't much we can't accomplish when we work with the customer as closely as we do.  If you can dream it, we'll give it our best effort to make that dream come true ;-)

Until next time my friends,

Epic Quiver

Since I posted a new Bamboo slide show yesterday I thought equal time was due to my other build material and different styles.  So today you get to put up with some of my Epic fiberglass builds. Yes, I did sneak in their carbon blank.  Its a super sweet non-sanded natural colored blank.
This isn't every Epic I have built, but it gives you a good idea of what Renaissance Rods is capable of.  Not only are the Epics a good looking blank with several color options, they are one of my personal favorites.

Until next time my friends,

Fresh Tonkin Cane

WHOA!!!!! I had no idea it's been so long since I have posted.  Hopefully I haven't lost all my loyal followers due to my lack of action. Sorry I have been slacking in my lack of action.

Anyway, on to the good news... I just received an new shipment of A+ Tonkin cane from Peak Bamboo and am looking for a reason to split some cane.  Take a look at this cane!!! It is loaded with power fibers that make it the best in the world for a quality Bamboo rod.

Yep, that is the start to a quality Bamboo rod.  It goes from the raw cane to what you see in the slide show below.  And that folks is why it takes 6-80 hours to make a Bamboo rod.  Not much going on in the way of retiring off the profits ;-)
Sorry there aren't better pictures.  I was never really too concerned with pictures.  That is changing and lack of quality pictures is slowly changing.

Until next time my friends,
Pete
